Manager, Administration 1987-88	Cyprus Gold Australia Company, Selwyn Mine Project Manager (Admin) during the construction and initial operations phases of the Selwyn Gold Project. Also set up the Maintenance Department.
Engineering Manager 1986-87	Pacific Coal Pty Limited, Brisbane Project Manager responsible for the preparation of the engineering sections of the bankable feasibility study for the Ensham Coal Project. I co-ordinated project engineering consultants and negotiated government approvals and infrastructure agreements. I also prepared the project economic model and the economic evaluation section of the study.
Project Co-ordinator 1981-85	Pacific Coal Pty Limited, Brisbane I was a project manager for the development of the Blair Athol Coal Project. I managed project administration, construction contract negotiations and project scheduling.
General Manager, Property Development 1980-81	Kern Corporation Limited, Townsville I managed Kern's property development activities throughout Australia (shopping centres, commercial buildings, tourist resorts, hotels and industrial facilities). We targeted and secured prospective developments, facilitated land re-zonings and development approvals, prepared feasibility studies, negotiated investment proposals, liaised with major tenants and monitored construction works.
Manager, Information Services 1977-79	Queensland Nickel Pty Ltd, Townsville I was responsible for the Project's relationships with the JV owner companies, the public, the media and government. I was also involved with the negotiation of major supply contracts (fuel oil), preparation of project feasibility studies, regular reporting and submissions to the owner companies, project budgets and management system development.
Senior Maintenance Engineer 1975-76	Queensland Nickel Pty Ltd, Townsville I managed the Yabulu maintenance department (350 employees) during the first two years of operation of the Yabulu Nickel Treatment Plant. This included the settting up of the Apprenticeship programme.
Area Engineer (Mechanical) 1974	Queensland Nickel Pty Ltd, Townsville I was the Mechanical Engineer responsible for the acceptance and commissioning of the Gas Recovery Area, Nickel Product Area and Effluent Disposal areas of the Yabulu Nickel Treatment Plant. I subsequently was responsbile for the Power Station, Borefield and Services sections. The work involved the planing and controlling of the maintenance activities in those areas during operations.
Engineer 1971-73	CSR Ltd, Sugar Milling Division, NSW and Queensland Shift Engineer at Victoria Mill, Broadwater Mill and Condong Mill.
