PROPERTY DEVELOPMENT EXPERIENCE
Harry Loudon's property development experience was gained as a General Manager of a large property development company, Infrastructure Consultant to a number of new mining projects and as a part-owner of a property development company.
Harry was a co-founder of Strand Central Holdings Pty Ltd, which purchased the old Townsville General Hospital in Townsville, North Queensland from the Queensland Government in 2003. The project was later sold in 2005.
Harry was the General Manager, Property Development of Kern Corporation Ltd in the early 1980's. He managed the development of Kern's Australia-wide property development projects.
The work involved:
- targeting development prospects.
- tendering for projects.
- purchasing and rezoning land.
- leading multi-disciplinary consultant teams in the preparation of conceptual and detailed designs and cost estimates.
- evaluating projects and preparing detailed feasibility studies and sales proposals.
- company relations with state and local government, business, sporting, community and professional bodies.
- negotiating development agreements and gaining government approvals.
His projects included shopping centres, city office buildings, tourist resorts and hotels.
